Featuring Megman Oquendo (bass), Monk Americana (guitar), Micah Gaugh (sax/lead vocals), and Swami (drums), electro fetus became a standout act in NYC’s underground electronic, punk, and jazz fusion scenes.
After the evolution of NYC experimental band electro fetus, Monk and Swami G. Arias continued collaborating as Baby Monk, performing at top New York venues. During this period, they joined forces with Nubian Nightmare of ska-punk legends Mephiskapheles to form Brother Earth—a genre-bending project active during the final years of CBGB’s.

Brother Earth began recording with Grammy-winning engineer Ben Elliott at Showplace Studios in Dover, NJ, blending punk, dub, and heavy soul into a singular underground sound.
